Stoked!

With both the gentleness of the dogs, eating from Cuinn's hands, but also with Cuinn having picked up sharing between the two dogs. You have to love, in the first one, the new-piece-of-toast tempter when Jack gets bored after Cuinn won't let the final toast remnants go (turns out this was because he wanted them for himself. Bleurg).

Foodie firsts

Strawberries.

Marmite.

You can see how this is going to end, huh?

Yep. Just like that.

The great discovery

He sat still as a still thing and quiet as a quiet thing for the entire duration of Bob.

Obviously, we need more Bob.

On the move footage, and a butt shot of his new jeans

I followed him around all day, and finally managed to get a pic of his new jeans (the detailing is all on the butt) while he was, temporarily (very temporarily, but long enough to get the camera button down which is greater success than I've had otherwise), wedged on his way to grabbing all my computer leads. Busy dude!

In which Cuinn tries finger food out for the first time

Suspicious ...

Interesting ...

Not too sure ...
Really doesn't need any explanation at all other than - raisins ...

And, after discovering banana in the bowl.

I fear I will never be organised again

Firstly, a big shout out to Greece for trying to kill Pal Mel - she seriously deserved it for being on a nice relaxing holiday. Welcome home Mel! *waves*

And now ...

I'm attempting to re-launch Project Chaos Management, but it's almost getting to the point of hysteria, so many spanners in the works I am collecting.

I could be here all day recounting the disastrous-ness of it all, but take if you will, just one example of the inventiveness of the universe in attempting to send me bonkers - Cuinn's swimming lessons. He starts swimming next week at a private swim school a 10 minute walk from home. Said swim school was chosen much less for its private-ness than for convenience. I heart convenience. A 10 minute walk from home is magic. Except, it's not a 10 minute walk from home since the Friday before last when an over-height truck killed the bridge that connects one side of the bridge, where I live, to the other, where the swim school is. So, now swim school is about a 25 minute car journey around Manukau, curling back to almost home again, and back. Honestly. Seriously. I mean ... really? And, of course, the bridge is off limits to both vehicular and foot traffic for the entire duration of Cuinn's swim school term. Awesome.

I imagine it'll be funny at some stage, but not right now. Well, unless you're everyone but me.

I'm in two minds about the moving child too. On the one hand, it keeps him amused for longer periods than I ever really managed, but on the other, he's proving slightly more difficult to keep track of. I busted the little bugger halfway out the back door this afternoon. Cheeky little ... ginger.

Otherwise, something incredibly exciting is going to happen next month ... except I'm not sure if I can tell you about it. I really should check if I can tell you about it. Katherine? Can I tell them about it? Sooo exciting. I'm interviewing .... someone awesome. Yay me !!
