Ruth - the other day we had an hours worth of screaming at lunch. Turns out the kid didn't want pumpkin (we were a bit slow realising that that's what the problem was. Apparently he can smell it coming). Once we got out the other side, he wouldn't even go near his high chair, so Al had to sit him on his knee to PROVE that the new food wasn't pumpkin before the kid would consent to being high-chaired for lunch. So much for not pandering to him ...
