Tee hee hee

This one is all about the sound eg. the noise the kid is making (turn it up Poppa!) and will only really make sense to immediately family on the Leach side. I'm most pleased with progress - it's a tough noise to make, especially for a wee dude.

Funny kiddly

(He put himself in front of the hose, and is perfectly capable of moving if he wants to, in case you think we're being evil.)

Sooo knackered from all the playing, he didn't even make it into bed before he conked.

The new arrival

At this stage, her CPAP is coming out for short periods of time (15 mins) to see how she goes. She's doing well though. This is the only one I got too - forgot my blinking camera when I went to the hospital!
Cuinn and Alexis.

Cuinn being a top banana (wicked colour on him Uncle Dave).

The post with no title, but containing a suggested amendment to the Oxford Dictionary

moron n. 1 colloq. very stupid person. 2 adult with a mental age of 8-12. moronic

Aaaaand 3 the person who thought it was a genius idea to flip a fire alarm at the hotel at 1.20am on Saturday morning thereby jolting us out of a sound sleep and requiring us to evacuate.

Cuinn, bless him, thought it was marvellously exciting (possibly mightn't have if I hadn't had the presence of mind to scoop his Ugly Dog up as well - left my purse, phone and every other important thing bar the kid of course, but I had Dog) with people moving in all directions and getting to hang out in the carpark in the middle of the night, and even I have to admit to a level of amusement (in situations like this, one must take one's jollies where one can) when one couple sauntered out quite some time after everyone else (unfortunatley un-singed), nicely presented in day clothes accompanied by their perfectly packed luggage. Dozey buggers.

On the bright side, we welcomed our niece and cousin Mikayla Elizabeth into the world at 1.15pm on Friday afternoon, and although it was an early start to her life (born at approximately 32 weeks gestation, in Waikato Hospital - hence the hotel) she is progressing daily.

Cuinn's first certificate

One day I'll write something

I will! I have good intentions of embracing my inner sloth for a week soon, so I can give you a progress report (quickie - we're up to tooth no. 6. Very exciting business tooth No. 6 - I was sitting the lounge when the thing literally burst through - he smiled at me while we were playing and his mouth was so full of blood, some even ran out. Obviously, post-freak out I realised I'd been with him the whole time and he hadn't bashed himself, fallen over, or even cried, so I figured tooth, and then within half an hour there was a good 1mm of pearly white showing. Incredible! Never seen anything like it), news of the kidlet's new furniture (bedroom furniture. Like, a bed. For a start. How on earth did it happen that he's getting a bed?) and other bits and bobs. But for now, instead of just being busier than a busy thing, today chaos reigns supreme as we're heading down to the Tron (to be in the area of Waikato Hospital) later for the birth of my niece (at 31 weeks. Maybe heading towards 32. v. v. early though), and organising a kid and life at short notice to abandon the home front temporarily is a mammoth task, and not a little manic.

More dirty garden fun.

Hours (relatively speaking - 10 minutes in reality) of fun in the plastic container drawer.

In his dressing gown, just looking cute. Even cuter, he kept trying to cuddle himself cos it's so snuggly! Didn't manage to get a pic of that though.

And change table sharing. I don't quite understand why the cat sleeps up there to keep away from the kid, but won't move when I put the kid up there ... Weird cat.

Helping (I use the term loosely) in the garden

And riding his bike the other day (for about 5 seconds, before Al had to catch him)

Celebrating a year of friendship, and the kids

The babies (Cuinn and his antenatal class friends) start turning one next month. It's incredible to think that this time last year, Cuinn was still weeks away, and yet here he his, with his friends, having a marvellous time creating more chaos than usual.

Hardly needs explaining ...
